In this article, we explain how to enable and disable two-factor authentication to enhance login security.
Activate two-factor authentication :
- Log in to your Embat account via this link.
- Enter your credentials: email and password, then click Log In.
- Go to 'User Profile' in the left sidebar.
- In the 'Security' section, enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
- After completing the previous step, set up your two-factor authentication:
- Download an authentication app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator). If you already have one, you don't need to do this again.
- Open the app and scan the QR code or manually enter the security code displayed.
- Verify your account: After adding your Embat account to the app, you'll receive a 6-digit verification code. Enter this code on the Embat platform to finish the setup.
Disable two-factor authentication :
- Go to 'User Profile' in the left sidebar.
- Disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). You can enable it later for added security.
You'll need to enter your password to confirm this action. - After disabling 2FA in Embat, make sure to remove the 2FA account from your mobile device. Do not do this before disabling it in the app, or you won't be able to complete the process.
