The ERP Monitor allows you to check the synchronisation status between your ERP system and the Embat platform. This tool is already available for most supported ERPs.
In addition to displaying the overall connection status, the ERP Monitor is particularly useful when certain data seems to be missing in Embat. For instance, if invoices, contacts, chart of accounts or other key data are not appearing, the Monitor can help you check whether there are any active synchronisation issues affecting a specific company or data type.
You can access the Monitor from the side navigation menu, under Settings, in the ERP synchronisation section.
What will you find in the Monitor?
General information bar
At the top of the Monitor, you’ll see a summary with the following key details:
- The connected ERP and its version
- The overall synchronisation status
- The date and time of the last sync
- The total number of synchronised companies
- The number of companies with active alerts
Possible overall statuses
The overall status reflects the general health of the synchronisation process:
- Synchronised: All data elements have been successfully synchronised.
- With alerts: One or more companies have partial synchronisation issues.
- Not synchronised: One or more companies have failed to synchronise entirely.
Company view
The Monitor displays the synchronisation status for each company connected to your ERP. For every company, the following five data elements are tracked:
- Accounting entries
- Attributes
- Contacts
- GL Accounts
- Operations
- Payments
Each data element can have one of two statuses:
- No issues: The data has been synchronised correctly.
- Issue detected: A synchronisation problem has been found in this specific element.
A single company may show a mix of statuses. If one or more elements have issues, the company will appear with alerts. If none of the elements have been synchronised, the company will appear as not synchronised.
In cases with alerts or failed synchronisation, it is recommended to review your ERP configuration or contact your IT team to verify the setup and resolve potential errors.
Viewing synchronisation logs
You can access detailed synchronisation logs for each element and company:
- Hover over the row of the element you wish to inspect
- Click on View logs
This will open a new view with two types of logs:
- ERP logs: Generated by the external ERP connectors
- Internal logs: Show the data flow within Embat, from the moment the API is consumed to read or write data
