When an automatic forecast is imported into Embat and matches a manual forecast in:
- Category
- Date range
- Currency
The system adjusts the pending amount of the manual forecast, progressively reducing it until it disappears if fully matched.
When multiple manual forecasts can be compensated, the system applies a date-based priority: the manual forecast scheduled to occur first will be filled first. This ensures all compensations follow a clear and chronological logic.
If the total amount of the linked external forecasts exceeds the amount defined in the manual forecast, you will see a warning inside the forecast detail indicating that the amount should be adjusted to fully cover the total. Even if the manual forecast has already been fully compensated, it can still receive new automatic forecasts. For this reason, reviewing this warning is important to ensure all your data remains consistent.
At any time, you can unlink automatic forecasts from a manual forecast by changing their category or forecast date.
