What is TellMe
TellMe is the intelligent treasury analyst built into Embat. It continuously analyses your financial information, detects patterns, proposes improvements and, when confident enough, acts in the background to keep your data and forecasts as reliable as possible.
TellMe does not replace your judgement. It complements it. It automates when it is safe to do so and asks for your review when your input adds value and helps improve its accuracy.
How you interact with TellMe
Your interaction with TellMe is built around three elements visible in the interface:
1. The Dock A floating element, always visible at the bottom of the screen. It is the entry point to TellMe: from here you access its activity and any pending actions.
The Dock can be hidden. Hovering over it reveals a small arrow at its bottom edge. Clicking it minimises the Dock to a narrow strip at the base of the screen. Hovering over that strip and clicking again brings the Dock back to its usual position.
While the Dock is hidden, notifications for new suggestions continue to appear, so you are always informed of pending activity in Guided Mode.
2. Guided Mode and Silent Mode From the Dock you can open the activity panel, which is divided into two modes. Guided Mode shows suggestions that require your review. Silent Mode shows the log of background actions executed by TellMe.
3. Detail view Each suggestion or background action can be opened in a detail view. Here you can analyse the affected data in depth, review the reasoning, and take action: confirm, dismiss or revert as appropriate.
Guided Mode
In Guided Mode, TellMe needs your input. This is where suggestions appear: proposed improvements based on historical analysis, detected patterns or relevant inconsistencies.
When a new suggestion is available, the Dock shows a notification. From there you can open Guided Mode to see pending suggestions.
Each suggestion includes two actions:
- Review: opens the detail view, where you can analyse the affected data, compare current and proposed values, and review the reasoning. If a suggestion covers multiple items, you can select or deselect them individually before validating.
- Reject: discards the suggestion. TellMe records the decision and uses it to improve its accuracy.
Whether you validate or reject, TellMe learns from your decision and adjusts its behaviour going forward.
Silent Mode
In Silent Mode, TellMe acts in the background when it has sufficient confidence, without requiring prior review. Here you will see the full log of background actions, including:
- Actions executed automatically.
- Outcomes of previously confirmed or dismissed suggestions.
- TellMe-related activity carried out by other users.
Each background action can be opened to view the detail: what was done, the associated reasoning, and the scope of the action.
If you need to undo an action, you can:
- Revert: undoes what was applied.
- Re-run: triggers the task again (available in some cases).
Silent Mode ensures full traceability: everything is recorded.
