Yes, Embat now allows you to view and complete the payment account details associated with the beneficiary of an invoice.
When creating a payment batch, you can identify which invoices already include a beneficiary account, and you can add or edit this information directly in the batch preparation flow. The account identifier can vary depending on the country, it might be an IBAN, account number, sort code, or other local format.
If a payment account has been manually added or updated by the preparer during batch creation, approvers will see a warning when reviewing the request in the Approval Center. In the invoice list, those with newly added accounts will be marked with a red dot. When hovering over it, a tooltip will show who added the data and when. This serves as an extra layer of transparency and review before approval.
Important note:
These beneficiary account details are not sent back to your ERP. They are stored within Embat in the mirror contact, which we refer to as the beneficiary. This means that editing these details in Embat won’t affect the original ERP contact.
What happens if new data comes from the ERP?
By default, any new contact data received from the ERP will overwrite the information stored in the beneficiary mirror in Embat, including account details.
This behaviour cannot be changed directly in the platform settings. If you want Embat to preserve manually entered data and prevent it from being overwritten, you’ll need to request it explicitly by contacting the Customer Experience team at customerexperience@embat.io.
