An amortization schedule helps you keep track of loan or leasing instalments and automate how they impact treasury. Here you’ll learn how to manage an existing schedule: review settings, update it (depending on the type), adjust dates, and download it.
Open the amortization schedule
To open an existing schedule:
- Go to Banks > Bank connections.
- Find the debt product (loan or leasing).
- Click the rectangular icon to open the schedule.
Identify the schedule type
At the top of the schedule you will see whether it is Imported or Calculated. This determines how you can update it.
Review settings
Click Settings (top right) to review parameters and reconciliation/accounting configuration (for example, accounts, categories, or split rules if applicable).
Update the schedule (imported only)
If the schedule is Imported and you need to change amounts or instalment details:
- Open the three-dot menu (top right).
- Select Update schedule.
- Paste the updated schedule into the blank table using the required format.
- Save to apply the update.
Edit dates (imported and calculated)
If you need to move an instalment date (for example, weekend or bank holiday):
- Click Edit dates (top right).
- Apply the change and save.
Download the schedule
To export the schedule and work with it outside Embat:
- Open the three-dot menu.
- Select Download.
Important notes
If your schedule is Calculated and you need to change amounts or conditions (for example, interest, number of periods, outstanding balance, etc.), you can’t update it directly. In that case, you must delete the schedule and create a new one in the same product with the updated conditions.
